Finally, I was wondering when this would happen.

How cool would it be to see the cops bust someone with a stolen cue that has one of these.:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:
 
... actually Steve Klein has been doing this on the custom side. The 4 cue Balabushka tribute set each has a chip.

So, you can identify the cue if stolen but that would require you find it after being stolen.

Or if the pool hall had a RFID reader installed over the entry door and it went off when hitting a stolen code :grin-devilish:
 
We've been putting RFID chips in dogs we adopt-out for 20 years or more. The chips have been great for getting a lost dog back to its family many, many times.
 
It's a no brainer IMO for custom and high end production cues. In fact if it works well they should be figured into the price. Johnnyt
 
I believe some charge an annual fee to keep activated. Something like $50 a year..
 
I have one installed on every cue I own. My buddy became a retail dealer with snagg and always has them on hand. Very easy to install. Snagg site easy to register each cue as well and it even takes pics of your cues.
 
We are working on an LD Snagg chip... just so you know that the snag chip causes a lot of squirt due to the microbore and epoxy. We will have our new chip ready for usage by 4/1/16.
