For anybody in the southeast that may have had the opportunity to travel through Hattiesburg MS at any point, you probably stopped by Snake's pool room at some point. He passed away Monday afternoon. Not too many details are available at this point. Pool was his life, he will be missed by many.

I use to play there once a week, I would travel from Holly Springs to play pool there. Loved that place, RIP Snake

Very sad. I got the news last night. I grew up in that pool room (Snake's Palace, formerly Cavalier's). Played there almost daily for 15 years. We were like a big family. Snake sold me my first cue, put me in my first ring game, and had my back on many occasions.

Rest in peace my friend, I wish I could have seen you one more time.

Is it correct that Snake's real name was Anthony Marshal? I met Snake a couple of times so I didn't know him very well although he seemed like a nice guy.
