There is currently an Ginacue listed on Ebay. (item# 7230627369) The cue is a version of the 17B cue in Ernie's catalogue. The starting bid is $6650. Does anyone have an idea what the value of this cue is. This price seems awfully high.

Thanks, Jimmy

Thanks Myron for putting up the link directly for me. I should have done it in the first place........

My pleasure to make it easy for everyone.
I would comment on price if the Blue Books were in hand.
But it is a nice cue and I too question the initial price.

I think the starting price is way out of line.

The base cue is $3600. Add 4 hundred for leather wrap and ivory joint. How much extra between the snakewood and ebony??? There is only $50 difference between 11c and 11d one being ebony point and the other snakewood. Plus you get a cue case with the purchase.

Call Ernie and find out how much one would be. His back log is about 6 months now.

Snap! For some reason, I can't see the pics on ebay. Can someone post them here or either let me know if it's in his catalog. I'd be able to look it up then if it's in his catalog.

gina cue

I have seen this exact cue in purpleheart. It was special ordered. I believe the cue cost between $4500.00 and $4800.00. It was on the market for around $5500.00.
The snakewood cue is at best @ a $1600.00 premium, perhaps as much as $2200.00.

Not a very attractive price at all.

Keep in mind like a previous poster said, Ernie is producing alot of cues right now. I guess he has this retirement bug in his sights. I know he had just pushed out a bundle of about 40 cues going to Japan. His turnaround time is 6 months to a year, with the more expensive cues getting done faster. It's not like there is a 5 or 7 year wait list which could account for as much as a 33% premium.

gina pricing

here you go......base model 17b = 3600 + 175 (iv. joint) + 400 (iv. butt plate) + 125 (leather wrap) + $250-$400 (snakewood upgrade) = roughly $4550-$4700

Thanks, Sean. Thought the price was way out of line.............

One other thing, the ringwork in the cue is an upgrade.(fancier than the catalogue model) I would probably give $5000 for the cue, max..........
