wife decided she wanted me to make her a cue. her first, never shot pool in her life before. guess she figures " if i can't beat him, join him "

First of all, congrats on your first your cue. Second, why would you give her a "slightly" warped cue? Is there a joke in there that I missed?

nah, it was just an extra shaft i had laying around. if she sticks with it, (which i very much doubt) , i'll make her a new one. it's not THAT warped, lol.
 
Oh...LOL! My bad. You never know though. She may end of loving the game and then ask for you for a Purpleheart/Ebony combonation, overlapped 16 pointer (with re-cuts...), and have pretty little heart inlays in the butt section and would want to know what's your turn a round rate to boot. :p :D

Well if you are real lucky when she wants a cue with inlays, she will do the inlays herself. My wife helps me in the shop (the only person who works with me). I taught her to do inlays on the pantograph several years ago and since then she does inlays -- and seems to enjoy it.
