everytime i put a sniper tip on, it moves back and forth very easily when i press my finger against it. is there a special way of putting these tips on or did i get a bad batch? the shaft came with a sniper tip and it was not like this so i'm assuming there is something wrong.

If you are using a lathe to put it on with then you might want to say how you are cutting the edge of the tip and shaping it. If you are not using a lathe, then forget putting it on yourself and get someone who has a lathe and experience putting on sniper tips to do it for you. It is worth the $$ to have it done right.

yes im using a lathe and im cutting the sides down with the cutter and then i use a razor blade to trim the sides down to the ferrule. is this wrong?

I had similiar problems. I wasted 2 tips before calling Tiger and asking them. I suggest you give them a call and they will help you out. There very nice people.

Your method sounds correct. The enemy of all tips and especially softer ones are dull tooling. Always use a brand new utility blade when trimming the the last little bit down. Also never cut left to right with your lathe tool on tips. Only do that with the last little bit using the utility blade.

Incorrect Method

Hello, I am sorry to say, that in fact you are using an inappropriate method of trimming any laminated tip especially Snipers. Regardless of the sharpness, the lathe cutting tools are not recommended.

We at Tiger Products are more than happy to support and train in the proper technique, just ask for Tony or Elia (Tech Support) at 800-5-TIGER-5.

While we have your attention with Tiger products I recently purchased some everest tips, I picked up 8 about 3 weeks ago and everyone who I put one on for loves them. How do the snipers play next to the everest? I'm a big fan of the Moori Mediums, but everyone who's tried the Everest swears by them. Great another tip I have to keep in stock!

The snipers seem to play a little softer.
