sniper tip height

Hey guys, I just had a sniper tip placed on my black dot an it standing up pretty tall, just wondering if you guys cut some layers off or just leave it as is? There is a lot of tip on there. I was thinking about putting on a elk master/triangle/kamui but decided on a sniper.

In the past, I used to play with Snipers. When they were new and too tall, I'd always cut them by 1/8" or thereabouts. Never had a problem with it afterwards once it was shaped.

I always get my new tips trimmed down a little bit. I find it difficult to play when they are really long.

I trim the sniper when I install it. To around 75% of new height.
