Sniper Tip Question

I've had a sniper on my 314 for about 5 months. i've only had to reshape it once. at first it almost felt like a dead hit, but it took about 40 games to play in, it hardened up a bit. holds chalk better than anything i've ever seen, miscues are a thing of the past. i only have to give it a light scuff, about once every 30-50 games. i flat out love this tip, it spins the ball like nothing i've ever played, the feedback is great for a tip that feels this soft, and you don't have to play as close to center ball as you do with a moori to avoid miscueing. cue components sells these tips for around $8-9.00 but you have to make a $50 minimum order

I can't honestly think of anyone I know that will even use a Moori. When someone mentions the name I start looking for a blade to cut it off.

Most of the better players I know use medium or medium hard tips (9-ball tour players & bank players). The only players I know that do use softer tips play one-hole.

Hercules, Talisman, Sniper, Tad, Triangle, and even Le Pro all rank way above Moori by the majority of players in FL. I install around 30 tips a month of various kinds and have had the same 4 Moori tips in the bin for about a year.

To each his own :)

Burnishing Liquid? Where To Buy

I have a new question regarding the Sniper tip. Has anyone tried the wax burnishing liquid that Tiger sells for burnishing the sides of the tip? Does it serve a useful purpose or is it mainly to make the tip look better with darker sides and all?

My Sniper plays great, by the way. The best price I've found is from Joe Nielsen's Ebay store (or from Joe directly):

Whoops! I just noticed that Joe Nielsen isn't listing his 2 Sniper deal anymore. He's only showing 10. Not sure if this is intentional. He seems to sell 2 of other Tiger tips.

I'm not doubting what your saying at all. It is just so opposite of everything I've heard before as far as Moori is concerned. Right here on this board they have been raved about so much that I went and tried them even though I sort of new that they were harder than what I like.
 
After reading all of these great reviews, I wanted to get one put on my cue. Just got off the phone with my local cuemaker Greg Sowder (Sharkshooter Billiards Vancouver, WA).

He says that he doesn't stock them because they are just too soft and not very popular. I envite EVERYONE (even if yo don't live in WA) to call him up 360-573-1322) and ask if he stocks them. I would like to see what he says about their popularity then.:)
