Sniper tips; what side to glue?.

I just bought a couple of Sniper tips from Nielsons Billiards. A great deal I might add. I'm guessing the black side is the side to glue. Am I right?.

Black side is the glue side - would also recommend you have a local cue repair person do the install or if you're gonna do it yourself, have access to a lathe. And per a lot of knowledgable people on this board, wet the sides before trimming!

Thanks. I've installed many tips by hand, sans lathe. Patience and a steady hand do the trick.

The Sniper tip is the absolute hardest tip to install correctly. Very easy to stress the leather and then one layer will give out and you'll have movement when do push on the side. Then the tip is ruined...it will not play the same. I once watched an experienced repairman ruin 5 or 6 in a row, as I chuckled in amazement. Call Tiger and have them walk you through it if you've never done Snipers before.
