The standout tie of the round (and presumably a snooker first) is Reannie Evans vs Mark Allen!

For those that aren't aware they used to be a couple and Mark recently asked for her to be removed from the practice room when he was practicing (and she was working as a TV pundit).

Also Stephen Hendry plays in his third tournament of his comeback trail (after the Gibraltar Open & World Championship Qualifiers).

Allen will destroy Evans. However, Allen is about to drop like a rock in the rankings. Happy to see a belligerent bad sport soon off the circuit.

Hendry is just PR food..…couldn’t even win a frame in the Masters. However, I’ll definitely watch and ‘hope’ he regains his magic. Go Stephen!

Selby vs Muphy…too bad one will be eliminated first round. Selby is stable guy and can weather a defeat better then most champions. Murphy is up and down.

Lots of eyes on Marco Fu. Fu, like Doherty and Hawkins, a great sportsman. I always cheer on these three players.

O’Sullivan not entered. Good. Lately a distracting attention seeking brat.

Favourite: Trump or Robertson. Selby needs to win first round to be co favourute. Trump needs to do well to shore up confidence.
