Snooker coach in Denver

My father and I used to play snooker when we lived in Vina Del Mar, Chile. Recently I found my fathers old cue in storage (now warped and pretty much useless besides sentimental value). Anyway at 52 think I would like to get back into the game.

So I have two questions:
1. Thinking about ordering a John Parris cue. Any other suggestions?
2. Are there any snooker coaches or good players in the Denver area that would consider doing some private lessons?

I have noticed an older guy on Saturdays at Felt that plays snooker by himself. I see him there in the mornings. I don't know him but you may want to show up some Saturday morning around 10 AM and reach out to him.

I play at Felt and I think I have seen that guy around. Thanks for the reminder. What do you think about Parris cues?
 
I know very little about snooker and less about snooker cues.
I did play the game a couple times 30 years ago and it did not seem very hard.

Lovely cues, pretty much the standard for the game. Pricey though, especially if you are just getting your feet wet in snooker again.

You might try buying something more economical while seeing if you stick with it. You can buy a two-piece Peradon or Dufferin for ~$150, or head over to the thesnookerforum.com and try to find something used.

Thanks, billiards is pretty much the only hobby I have so I tend to try to get the best tools that I can. Thanks for the snooker forum.com link.
