Snooker Cue Opinions

Good evening, sir.

In my view there isn't a great deal of difference, if any, between a John Parris cue and one from the many highly skilled cuemakers in Asia. Ton Praram from Thailand, for example, crafts truly superb sticks for a tenth the cost of some JP models.

To be fair to John, it's only the huge profit that makes his cues so expensive, without it they would be very reasonably priced.

I don't know much about cues, other than the ones I own. However, here is a thread from thesnookerforum discussing the brand. The general consensus seems to be that they are a good mid-range snooker cue.

I don't think they are as good as Parris cues though from what I've read. However, there are aficionados who don't think too highly of Parris cues. Mine however plays great and I'd buy another if I needed to.
