SNOOKER IS LIKE ONEPOCKET

There are also general unspoken rules of the masses of snooker players of things you just rarely if ever do, like running balls down the rail, hell even bank shots that are like straight ins to one pocket players are just not generally taken in snooker, well unless you're Ronnie O, who shoots them left handed just because he can.

Because the shooter can foul, and the in coming player can accept the table or have the shooter shoot the same shot again, every shot he fouls his opponent gets the foul points.

There are thousands of shots you’d shoot at 1pocket that you’d never shoot at snooker. And the reason is there is only one pocket you or your opponent can score in. And because you only have one scoring target it radically changes the base strategy of the game compared to any other game with six targets.

The comparison is so far off it’s ludicrous.

I probably could've worded that differently, I didn't mean cumulative, I was simply trying to repeat what you said in my own words for confirmation.

So, red 10% of Red A is blocked by Red B but you can see all of Red B but the player calls Red A and misses it, it's a foul?

It doesn't matter what he is attempting. Red balls don't require a call. Colors only require designation of color to be struck and pocketed anywhere......... unlike uh one pocket.😉
Usually the warning prompt the change of shot being attempt. The warning comes usually because they are attempting a very slim hit to avoid a sell out..... defense, just like...😉
 
Snooker at "that level" has the 4 penalty points for a miss prefer over too thick a hit. So sometimes it pays to take a couple of misses then hit it perfect. Big difference when snookered the attempting can last more than 3. Giving up 16 or more points is better than giving a open shot. At that level usually loss of game anyway.
