We have just launched some trials in HD web streaming you can see the first results via the link below.

It will buffer if you do not have 6meg broadband.

We launched the first trial last week and are looking into offering more HD from events in future, so far there are two short videos which show what can be done with HD on the web.

Recorded at 720p HD

Please let me know your thoughts.

Looks great!

You need to change the music though. My wife came busting into my office thinking I was watching porn :)

When you stream video at such high resolution, you make it impossible for many people to watch. I have a fairly decent newish laptop, and my bandwidth is about 350 kBytes/second. I can have a bunch of torrents running, some software compiling, heavy Firefox usage and still be able to watch something on YouTube.
When I try to watch your videos, with nothing else happening on the laptop, they are not really watchable. Suddenly the laptop resembles a 386 running Windows 95, over a dialup connection.

You don't allow downloads (correct me if I'm wrong) neither do you stream at any lower rates. Snooker is very well suited for efficient streaming, as there aren't many deltas between frames most of the time. It doesn't look like this is at all efficient, though.
I'm ranting a bit here, because I'd really like to be able to watch your videos! I do wish there were more options - like a download, or a less demanding bitrate on the stream. As with most technology choices, 95% of the cost gets you the top 5% of quality, and is never essential.
