snooker's balls

i have never played snooker in my life, but i enjoy watching snooker games in tv, i know the snooker table is way larger than a pool table, the holes are rounded and are relatively smaller. one thing i want to know is, is the size of a snooker ball the same with a pool ball?
just curious.

Snooker uses 2 1/8 versus 2 1/4 for Regular pool.

they also have snooker size ballsa for pool just in case you wanna play pool or practice your pool on a snooker table. I do that sometimes.

The International "official" size for snooker balls is 2 1/16" (or 52.5mm).
The balls normally used in America are 2 1/8".
It is quite difficult to find 2 1/8" balls outside of the USA.
