Now during my many countless hours surfing the web looking at anything and everything that has to do with billiards, I have come across all these numerous products that all claim to do the same thing, mainly shafts. Now, there is the more popular Predator 314 and the new Z shaft. I have recently come up on some other shafts that have come to my attention. There is the Sharpshooter shaft, T3 shaft and the ER240 shaft. Now with all these shafts who really wants to buy them all. Has anyone heard of these shafts or better yet tried them. Just thought Id ask..... Thanks

Don't forget about the Dominator shaft made by Dominiak custom cues in New York. It is 8 pieces instead of the 10 that the 314 uses. I have been shooting with the 314 shaft for about 2 years, and 2 months ago started using the Dominator shaft on a Dominiak cue and love it. IMO, you can "feel" the hit better with the Dominator and get a slightly softer, more solid hit than with the 314. Don't get me wrong, I think the 314 is better than the standard maple shaft. JMHO!!
(can't vouch for the other shafts mentioned, not yet anyway)

i use the dominator and love it, but the shaft on my production model Viking was also good. i really think shafts are the least important aspect of the cue, as long as they're made well. you should be able to get used to any amount of whippy-ness, etc, unless you've been playing forever with the same type of shaft and aren't gonna adapt your aim, stroke, etc. in that case, though, you wouldn't be considering any of the new techy shafts anyway, right?

a well made shaft is pretty easy to adjust to, in my opinion. but i'm still pretty new, compared to the other folks here.
