So now I have a Diamond

So after a month of playing, it is a kick a$$ table. Worth every penny and all of the time invested. I would argue that even if I didn’t do the work myself, that paying a mechanic would still have been worth it.

The 760 with clean and polished Centennials makes for a great playing experience. (Waxgate style ;-) So much so that I am spoiled and it is affecting my game at the pool room. I Sucked today!

They have Pro-ams with, as you would expect, progressively dirty, 860hr and dirty, clingy balls. I know I need to adjust but man what a delta! And certainly a learning experience when it comes to playing conditions.

It is easier to understand what sucks but harder to compensate.
Don't clean your balls so much. I do mine about every two weeks, and make sure not to clean then withen 2 or 3 days before league. I have leagues Monday and Wednesday, so I will clean the balls Thursday or Friday.

Ok!!! New buckets!!!

Can i ask, what was wrong with the way, you had the old pockets?
Sure. This table is around 20 years old , I estimate. The pockets are original to the table, leather and have been lovingly abused. You can see from the image, the zip ties and tape that have been used to hold them together. At least 2 balls per rack were ending up on the floor.
