I was at home last week (thursday I think?.. Memorial at the river kinda made it all a blur) and I was enjoying one of my last "drinking" nights and getting ready to goto bed, when I get a phone call from a friend of mine saying him and another friend were bored late night and wanted to cruise over to play some. Low and behold here comes Sam Manoele up the driveway.

I started a medication on tuesday to which I can't have any alcohol while I'm on it, so the later part of last week, and memorial day I was drinking a little more then usual. I was doing my usual evening practice banging em around and video taping it for my own review and to post on AZBilliards, and I was actually playing pretty good for the amount of liquor I had in me..

In any event I was pretty plowed by the time they finally showed up, so I jumped up turned the camera off, shut the little screen thing and played with Sam for a little over an hour or so before I finally had to goto bed.

I went to the river later on, and took my video camera with me like I always do, pushed play to see where the tape was and low and behold the thing wasn't turned off? (This is no B.S. I thought the thing was off the whole time)

In any event for obvious reasons I can't post any of the video, becuase that wouldn't be right. I didn't ask Sam's permission to tape that deal becuase honestly I didn't think it was being taped, so the video is going to stay in my little collection, but it was definately cool to have some talent cruise over to the house and play. I can't say enough about Sam, most guys that speed tend to have a little attitude about them. Sam was taking time out of his night to teach my g/f some basics and give her some tips, gave me some insight about my own game etc.. He didn't really get to see much (if any) of my game.. I think I was a little taken back by the fact that Sam was in the house.. LOL

I'd definately have him over again, and if you get a chance to play him some sets I'd definately recomend it! One of the nicest guys in pool.

I was visiting a friend in San Diego a year and a half ago and played Sam two days in a row at whatever that downtown room with the one Diamond Table is called. He was a cool guy and a strong player. I enjoyed gambling with him.
