soft tips.....am I alone?

Why do you like soft tips ? Better control of the QBall ?? Better Draw ?

Railbirds wanna know? not that we 'd get up and bet waters wet.

just a basic feel thing....and a confidence deal. Super hard tips just feel "ICY" all the time to me. And I can't get used to the click they make.

I REALLY liked the soft tips when I went to LD shafts to get a little feel back.

Kamui Black Soft for me, too...I also like Milk Duds, very impressive and a lot less expensive. I've had zero problems with miscues or glazing too much with the Kamui Black Soft. Hits a little closer to medium Triangle than a true soft tip, but grabs the cue ball nicely, in my opinion. I, too, will lightly use a tip pick (they say that's a no-no, but no problems--just don't dig into it).

I've been trying the green layered Emerald by Tiger.

It's softer than advertised and feels nice.

I've been wondering what this green tip I have is. I bought a cue and shaped the tip and everything I grinded off was green. Not a bad tip though I kind of like it!!

Kamui Black SS for me....but it feels harder than my previous Sniper....
I am not unhappy with the SS but when it is time, I will most likely go back to Sniper.
