Sims Vibration Labs is a well known company in the shooting sports. If you ever fired a .460 Weatherby with an inadequate recoil pad, you would understand the LimbSaver part. The phrase has nothing to do with cues. I believe they are dropping this particular product from their lineup, but they make recoil pads for firearms and stabilizer/dampeners for bows that work very well and are popular.
I've seen exactly one of these in use and the owner said it improved his game (it could have used much more improvement). Both Buddy Hall and Grady endorsed the device as being a worthy addition. Someone might ask Buddy if he really meant what he said about the product.
The only model of this product that remains available is 1 1/8" diameter which seems a bit large for most cues. It adds about .5 ounces weight if you are replacing a standard bumper. I considered adding one to one of my cues not for the claimed vibration dampening but for the extra bit of length and weight it would add. I didn't.
The new owner of those cues probably could care less what the next guy thinks.
