Solo type games

Most of it, but I know what you mean, I just ignored all the bowling terminology!

Think the best thing to do is just right your scores down in the same way and work them out later lol!

Play Bowliards on the clock

Hey guys this post is cracking me up. If you really want to have a blast with this game play it on the clock, partners, alternate shots. A good starting time is like 2 minutes or 90 seconds a frame. Drink a few beers and let the fun begin...it really gets crazy with the two guys trying to communicate on how to run the ten balls under the time limit, especially when the other team is laughing at you. One night when we were playing this partners/alternate shoot thingee two guys ran into each other hit their foreheads and one guy was out for like 10/15 seconds...this may sound sick but I never laughed so hard....

just wanted to add that the Japanese require with 3 consecutive rounds of bowliards, the minimum total must equal 600 in order to be considered a pro. i believe there are different levels of "pro" from 600-900.

You will roughly need 8 strikes or better to score 250 and most of them need to be in a row.

I guess I misunderstood, I thought you would have to shoot the balls in rotation, just like playing ten ball, only you get ball in hand after the break. If you can shoot in any order, even I could probably "bowl" a 300 almost every time. I think for my practice I will play it as rotation

Here's a 9ball version of bowlliards (thanks to whoever posted this on a pool forum awhile back).
Regular 9ball rules applies. Run out is a strike; successful safes (no part of object ball can be seen), take ball in hand and continue on same turn; scratch is a gutter ball; 9ball on the break is a strike; cheese the 9ball on first turn is a strike; cheese the 9ball on second turn is a spare; full rack is 10 pts (1 pt @ball & 2 pts for the 9ball)

Bowlliard rules can be found at: http://www.nmt.edu/~billiard/house_rules/bowlliards.html

I've developed a score sheet (similar to bowling) in excel. PM me with your email address if you want a copy, or email me: abaylon@mail.utexas.edu.
