I spoke to Bobby Rone on the phone yesterday and was able to ask him a few questions which myself and a few others at my pool room wanted an answer to.....I did not ask him about added money, money in escrow, etc....other than some general overview talk about the tournament, these are the three things he answered for me....
Yes...If you are entered in any of the major/pro tournaments you and your 'significant other' will be issued a free spectators pass to all tournament divisions for all days.
Re. the free shuttle service....Yes...it will be provided at Houston Hobby Airport, picking up at 30-45 min. intervals beginning the morning of Sept. 10th - he said there will be Galveston Classic Tournament signs in the airport and on the shuttle for guidance.....Hobby is the primary Houston Airport where most flights will arrive....Mr. Rone then told me, that if anyone happens to be flying in to one of the other airports, he will arrange pick up for you if you call or e-mail him and arrange this with him ahead of time.
Lastly, unrepentant gambler that I am, lol, I asked him about the availability of tables for people to match up/gamble on....I asked him whether he will do as Greg Sullivan does at the DCC and have all of the tables available during the late night, after tournament play is over for the day....he said yes to this, with th proviso of an approx. 2 hour play stoppage for the nightly cleaning of the room and tables....he also said that there will be a small action room with approx. 6 tables in it.....Ok, that's my bit of info to add to the mix.
