Some insane burl butts!!!

Jeff Olney

Yes Olney's with purpleheart handles........Tony I followed your lead...I went with brown phenolic also......hope you don't mind....:D

Not at all....

No I don't mind Dale. After Jeff described how good the brown looked next to the burl I had to go for it. The way Jeff talks they should be done in about 4-5 weeks :)

figures...

of course none other than Snowmon34 (Dale) and Remy (Tony) would be getting two of those beautiful Olney's. I regret selling my 6 pointer, that cue was special. Thanks for sharing the pics Dale.

Yes...Im sure it was a tough decision to sell your Olney. I'm sure you had good reason to sell it...

Hey Tony, I'm sorry you're sorry to have sold your Olneys but I know you had other priorities.
Dale, I called Jeff about the 6 pointer purpleheart but someone already snatched it :) so I had no choice but to get Jeff to start building me one too :)
All 6 points will be purple heart with a black and white veneer and rings on all positions.
I'm hoping to get pics from Jeff today.

Tony,

You need to stop this madness.....your a cue addict!!!!!:D

Dale

I really like p.h. wth the b.e forearms. purpleheart is very stable and weighs up birdseye perfectly for weight. p.h. also gives you a little harder and stiffer hit than maple handles. too bad its hard to paint i would have made alot more cues out of it. i havent used p.h. for over 10 years in cues except for handles. i doing just a few now for points and butt sleeves only. the bonus with this p.h. is i bought it all in 1994-96 and just been hanging alll these years. purpleheart in heavier forearms like cocobolo doesnt work fo me the cue would weigh too much, but with the birdseye forearms it works like a million. jeff o

I know, it's a damn disease :o

Tony,

I was talking to the Gunner on the phone this morning as he was slamming balls into holes one handed......You should have these rings installed on your purpleheart cue.....They are only 200.00 a piece and it only takes 4 days to make 1 ring.....:)

I had already spoken to Jeff about these rings. I think I'm gonna stick to the cheaper ones I might need the money for another cue :)

Also, the Searing we spoke about is no longer available. I think it was sold locally for about 5k
