the Brunswick BUG bit me

- lately ive been changing my eye aiming.
before i used to look at the rock on my adressing strokes and only look at the ob in my finishing stroke. since ive changed some basics, it seems i pot 30% more when i do this: cb during adressing, ob during thelast 2 adressing strokes and pocket in my final stroke. The differenace is amazing. can anyone tell me why it has increased my (longpots mostly) succes rate by this much? or was it pure luck and i just had some good days.

how come i have a90% succes rate in longpots when im looking less at the rock?

- in 9 and 8b; i seem to fail most break and runouts on the5th or 6th ball. To me it seems 2-3balls short of running out most of my racks seems very small in theory, but in practise it seems a ocean of difference. now i was wondering, how far i am to be running racks like a A or pro player. are these last 2-3 balls just something small like: just concentrate extra on the 5th and 6th ball and u'll make it, or am i REALLY alot further from running racks then i thought.

- im drunk and maybe this post isnt of any usefullness, but hey :) worth trying to ask, who knows sillly solly hasnt asked a silly question of the week in weeks, so i got to keep up my rep :D

- how long does it takes for anyone to know exactly how much a cue delfects on EVERY possible shot? (ok it depends on how many hours u play/week. but it seems only now i know exactly how much deflection, trow, contact trow my cue makes on every possible shot. ive been shotting with the same cue (first and only cue i owned) for... now-may.. 7 months and about 5-10 hours/week.

ive been thinking alot about geting a custom cue instead of my crappy 40$ cue, BUT im so afraid ill need another 7months - 1 year, before ill know my cue. i dont have this time. well... i got the time, but id rather be spending my time on mastering other things then trying to master my a new custom cue. I have a HIGH delfection cue.

Well I just changed my tip from nickle to dime(love the results), but I also found it changed english shots a bit...

It took about 2 minutes to compensate for, in fact its much more consistant now!!! It is a 12mm shaft but not a low deflection shaft.

For short bridges, I move my bridge keeping backhand still.
For longer bridges, I move my backhand over and keep my bridge still.

Just practicing by hitting table length shots towards the edge of a chalk cube, it seems to be very constistant in hitting dead center over table length shots.(keeping level cue to avoid masse).

I think it should only take 5-10min of hitting different shots with different pivot points and whatnot to come up with a system for countering deflection....

The eye thing is also completly mental..... do whatever works for you to play your best game, but in the end it comes down to a straight stroke and the knowledge of where to aim that stroke..... it doesnt matter where you are looking imho other than to settle your mind.
