Someone on this forum has a custom SP...

They posted pictures of it a couple of months ago. It is a true Sneaky Pete with a wood to wood joint, and an oil finish. I wrote down the cue makers name, but have misplaced it. I searched the forum and couldn't find it. Can anyone help me out? I am interested in possibly having a custom sneaky made, and am planning on checking out both Frey and Blud, but was trying to figure out who it was that made this certain cue because it was basically what I want. Thanks,

Ah yes it's a Jim Sickles! Thank you very much Kevin, and don't worry I haven't forgotten about you ;) , I'll hit you up soon with a couple of questions.

Next question though, which cuemakers would make me a cue like this who make thier own blanks?

Due like this

Post some pics and specify exactly what you are looking for - rather than reference to a single post.

This is the Jim Sickles cue that I was talking about...

My reasoning for the question about a cue maker who splices his own blanks is two fold. First I would like the ability to have my choice of woods, and second I just honestly love the idea of a single cue maker making a cue from scratch, starting with nothing but the wood and being the sole creator of a cue. Nothing agianst cue makers who do not make thier own blanks, don't worry you guys are still in the running!!!

Actually on a whole other subject, my dream is to build my own blank to be turned into a cue by a prominant cue maker. (I have a fair amount of experiance on a lathe, and a lot of woodworking experiance in general) But, that will be a whole other thread when that time comes. ;)

i dont really like sp's but that cue is beautiful...i would actually like to own that

I am the proud owner and let me tell you, it hits them monster.

Furthermore, it's not a true custom made spliced cue but rather a house cue conversion(a very good one I'll add). Let me tell you, Jim Sickles makes a monster and I'd do business again with him in a heartbeat.

I would reccomend getting in touch with Scott Whisler http://whislercues.com. He makes his own full splice cues, with your choice of woods. They have sharp points on both ends, are exquisitely made, reasonably priced, and play great.

Thanks for the link, looks like he does amazing work, for sure someone to call. I love the fact that he offers a G10 pin as well :)
