The only reason i'm responding to this is that i just rec'd a PM from her RE: a thread that died 2-weeks ago. Her PM was stupid, ill-informed, unadulterated BS (like most of her posts, IMHO). Besides insulting me in it, it was so wrong and in such bad form, that i asked her to never PM me again.
(Oh why not - lets stir the pot and see what happens...)

I begged her to match up after the thread about center-pocket aiming vs cheating the pocket. Her position on that was one of a very novice player, perhaps even a beginner just learnin the basics. even IF it was ploy to get a match, well, I woofed! Alas, no response.
I remain pleased that she is passionate about the game. New players are the the lifeblood and future of the sport, less we fade into obscurity a la' bowling. But her ill-founded, outspoken opinions are based on conjecture, not facts knowledge nor experience. She is entitled to them, but there are players on here with tens of thousands of hours worth of experience, whose hard-earned knowledge she boldly ignores, challenges or argues with.
Be that as it may - as long she doesn't continue to PM me with her adolescent insight, it's all good.
Now, about that bet, VAP....

She reminds me of this guy that used to be a regular at a room I managed. I was telling him that the basis of good nine-ball is a three-ball pattern. No more, no less. I mean, it does get more complicated than that as you get better but on a fundamental level, it's three balls. He proceeds to argue with me that it isn't. That shot selection for the 9-ball must be considered when shooting the 1. I told him that although it's correct that you should survey the entire table, it's the 2 and 3-ball that will decide exactly how you will shoot the 1. He didn't believe me. He was a D-player then and he's a D-player now.

You might actually be suprised at how much knowledge of the game 'she' has.

Awhile back I went through and read all of their posts. I don't doubt that they're knowledgeable of the game... my problem is in the way that they post. If they have a great aiming system, good for them. However, if they're going to respond to a post, they need to stop being condescending and actually input information. Everytime I read one of Sonia's posts the FIRST thing that comes to mind is a deep heavy voice from somewhere above telling you that you're wrong, yet not telling you how to be right. Ignoring you & not answering you when you then ask for the correct way. I think it's sad that someone may possibly be full of useful knowledge but can't get that knowledge out because their condescending way turns people off. JMO
