soon to be released OB jump / break?

This looks nice and really well priced! Have a feeling this will be a big seller for OB. Love my OB break cue.

First off the black and white handle is gosh awful ugly looking. Then the modified pin is a joke. Just give me a regular pin so i can use it on something else if i want to. That special joint/pin combo these companies do irritates me to no end. It’s a slap in the face to prospective buyers.

They can keep it.

A "modified" pin means some small detail was changed, not that it's not compatible with other pins of the same type. Their "modified" 3/8 x 10 pins work on all my 3/8x10 cues, including a Ned Morris and a few McDermotts and their cue with the pin works on my 3/8 x 10 shafts. I don't mind the colors at all, no different than a wrap on a cue or having a back shaft that looks like it was made at Fisher Price.

My experience has been that my ob cue's shaft fits just fine on a regular 3/8x10 pin mcdermott butt.

The issue you'll run into is some shaft's for 3/8x10 won't quite fit on the modified pin. A newer mcdermott shaft threaded on just fine though (but I hear that mezz's won't)

OK, has anyone tried this new JB cue from OB? I am in the market and I see they have some new colors that I could live with but still not sure if i want a JB or just a dedicated break cue.

You know what I want them to clarify? I want someone to explain to me why it is that the $250 cue can't cover warpage as part of their warranty, but my $100 Players JB5 jump and break cue does. And it looks a lot nicer too. Black on black, instead of white on black.
Because a warranty like that would cut into their bottom line. Hell, even I could figure that out. (Try McDermott, Pechauer, and even Players, but I prefer USA made)

I have purchased several OB shafts and a cue and have been totally satisfied with this American company. The fact that they are making products at a lower price point in the states should encourage people on the fence to give them a try.

Finally about to work around that "custom pin" issue? :)

Keith

P.S.- Please let us know how you like the new jumper.
