Sorry another gold crown question.

On to the next fitting issue. So I started laying out the skirts. I’m sure if I had a second set of hands I could pulled the brackets together and draw them tight with the bolts. I can’t see how they are this far off. When I was painting the thin angle brackets I noticed two were bent . I’m assuming this was from dis assembly or drawing it in with the bolts. All the channels look straight as an arrow. I’ve noticed other tables online with the extruded rails much shorter than mine in segments, my rails on the skirts are full length. Also have seen some with wooden blocks attached to the skirts that tie into the rails. Most videos online don’t really break down the nitty gritty details. I’m trying to get all the ferment issues figured out before I have the mechanic come set it up. I’d rather not have to pay him for all the cosmetic fitting.

I think one of them isn't fully seated in the rail trim. Do your aprons have one very long cleat or multiple shorter cleats?

When the cleats are fully seated, the aprons will lean inward about 10-15°.

One long cleat. I’m going to put my long straight edge on it tonight. It goes down in the groove no problem. It wont lay back though. It seems so simple and I’m stumped.

First off, cut the extruded aluminum into shorter pieces, then mount 4 each per long skirt. Then, to make them fit like a glove, use beeswax to rub on the contact surface. That's the best lube I've ever used in 40+ years. Then cut you 2 each shorter pieces 2" long and mount them on your ball box so you can mount the ball box on the foot rail no different than the skirts mount, instead of using lag screws to mount it to the bottom of the end rail. The skirts will hinge perfect in the extruded molding on the rail with the beeswax used

Thanks RKC for the good phone conversation and the trucks of the trade. I segmented the rail down to 4pcs 6” long. One more side to go.
