Apparently pro pool players aren't the only professionals that have a hard time getting paid:

If you don't know what Starcraft is, just look it up on youtube. It makes for a much better spectator "sport" than pool and has some big companies behind it and yet they still apparently can't get paid.

Just look at how many posts are in that one thread and how short of a time it has been up to get an idea of how popular Starcraft is.

Here is one of the highlights

In HoN there was an organization who held a tournament. The winners waited months then started asking about where the money was. The organizer said that it was unprofessional of the players to complain about their prize money and thus revoked the winnings.

Pretty funny.

Maybe this is a little bit of evidence that money isn't the main problem professional pool has, the main problem is organization and accountability.
