Does anyone know if Laurie allows a person on the waiting list to give their spot to another individual?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, that is why methuselah only had to wait until he was 653 to get his cue, a buddy of his gave him his spot.

Why don't you just call and ask her?

Short answer: Fear

Long answer: Someone suggested that if she found out I no longer wanted my spot, she may remove me from the waiting list and I would be screwed.

I understand your fear but that would be an outrageous act of Laurie. [I am NOT saying Laurie is doing this, but IF she was doing so]

You paid for the spot as well as the next owner of the spot is going to pay for the spot and the new cue so there's nothing SW should / could be worried about. JMO.

I don't know her policy now, but in the year 2000 when I ordered, she did not require a deposit from me. She said she would get the deposit when they started working on the cue which should be in a few months.

Guess I'll get a third party to call and ask a hypothetical.

Why not just keep your spot and order a cue for someone else?
It shouldn't be too hard to find someone who wants a SW and doesn't want to wait on the list. You could just act like a middleman and order the cue they want.

Just spoke with Laurie and asked, "do you allow customers on your waiting list to give their spot to someone else"?. Her response was, "No". End of conversation.
