Anyone know if this company is still in business, as I was offered one of their Sneaky Petes, and was curious what is it value. Garage Sale Find. :)

North West Louisana Cues is in business today, but like you I have never heard of South West Louisana Cue Company. Check out the ICA members page for NORWELA CUES as that is the Abbreviation trademark for North West Lousiana Cues. Click on Link below then click members page or advertising sponsors page.

I don't know about that company, but I had two sneaky petes made by Don Simmons back in the 70s. I believe 'Fast Frankie' Haines said that Don killed himself... Anyone ever hear of Don Simmons ?

Sounds like you missed a real deal. I once knew a guy who dug through a barrell at a salvage place in the Atlanta area that used to buy up and resale UPS salvage. He bought a South West butt for $30. I never come across those type of deals, but they do happen.

In the area we live many Retirees Live, and they have Relocated to AZ from all parts of the U.S. for their golden Years.

They bring everything with em from their old lives, and as they die off stuff gets sold off by friend, relative, or people who do Tag Sales.

I have only recently been looking for Pool Stuff at Garage & Tag Sales, as I have a Friend who is looking for an old Brunswick CASE.

I did not know the Cue I was looking at, and could not read the signature, as I was on a Dog Walk, with on my Keys, no Money, and no Glasses.

Think I could make a small fortune if I knew what some of the stuff I run into was selling on e-bay, but I am not able to identify the junk, from the Hot Items for e-bay.

There is an old black leather brunswick case for sale on ebay right now here is the link

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=21212&item=7160722867&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW

I did buy a Rambow for a little over $600 on ebay recently. I am restoring it to decent condition as we speak. The guy knew it was old but didn't know what it was. I knew it could possibly be a Brunswick and might be paying too much, but took the chance was happy when it arrived and I found none of the Brunswick trade marks on it. It should bring about $2500 some day.

Once I visited an antique shop featuring very old scientific instruments and apparatus. Something there that I purchased for $100 I later sold for $1200. Now, if only I could achieve the same profit therefore success every day I'd be a reeeeeaaaaaaaal happy camper. :o

Don, was a top dice/card mechanic and was getting pretty good at making cues in the 70s. I still have one of his bar cues, yea, that's what we called them then. Hump, told me, Don, was the, Kissing Bandit, in N.O. if you know that story, Smorg. Had to do with parking meters and a tool, LOL. Don's, oldest daughter was married to, Jerry Brock, at one time.

I still wonder where, Frankie's, old girlfriend, Chris, AKA, Marilyn Monroe, is. Girl played pretty good back then.

Do you remember, Don's, best bud back then, Pete "The Heat"?

I wish I had my two old Don Simmons cues, but I lost one when I posted it with some cash and shattered the other in a bar fight. I think that I read recently in the online New Orleans newspaper that Jerry Brock died. The 'kissing bandit' story rings a bell, but I think you need to post it here and re-fresh my memory. My brother swears that he saw Frankie's old girlfriend Chris on one of poker shows being televised on ESPN,but using a different name (and doing very well). I don't think I know Pete The Heat, but possible jogging of the old memory banks might recall lost memories... (it' a bitch getting old)

After some more thought,I'm remembering a three-finger Pete (Gervase?) and a Pete (Panerella/Panetella ?)

I don't remember his last name, Smorg, but it was an Italian name. The guy was a NOPD officer and played a little. About, Don's, speed.
