This post is a reminder to everyone. Online registration is up and running now. Visit www.southernclassictournament.com . You can avoid waiting in line at the event by registering online ahead of time. This applies to the 9 Ball Bank, One Pocket, and 9 Ball tournaments played on 9' Diamond Smart tables.

You can also purchase event passes on the same website. This will permit you to be up and close to the best pool players in the world.

In addition, hotel registration information is also posted for your convenience.

In order to register for the amateur events, do that on site at the event or contact the league operators prior to the event.

We have something for everyone that loves pool at The Southern Classic. Please come and enjoy yourselves. We look forward to seeing you there.

I've never been to the sister event, the DCC, so I have a question.

If a player signs up for an Open event.....do they receive a badge that allows them to go whereever they like for the entire event? Or are they required to buy passes like non-players?

I've already signed up and paid on-line for the 9-ball Open. Just trying to figure out my budget.

I'd like to be able to float around and see everything possible for the entire 10 days when I'm not playing.

Your player credentials give you access to watch the open pro events. You will not be permitted to use the VIP seating, however.

What about the 10-ball on 10-footer's Invitational? What kind of access would a player's badge get you on that?

Can you explain what a VIP pass gets you? Is it the first couple of rows or something? Are the VIP seats going to be numbered or is it first come first serve among that section for the VIP pass-holders?

I also have a question...

I understand participants receive a player's pass which allows them to spectate while they are not playing. I have heard rumors that players can bring with them one guest with a guest pass received with the player's pass. Is this true or must the "significant other" of a participant purchase at least a general admission pass? I have looked on the website but have been unable to find anything about a guest pass.
