Nice BEye on the SW. Does it come with a letter for Laurie? Rolls true together and apart? ;)

Monski,

Laurie does letters for Franklin-Era cues with no serial numbers. Anything with a serial number is most likely an SW cue and Southwest can look up the info on it via email or telephone.

Hi Ricky,

Hmmmm... yes. My intention is really to get a formal letter despite it having a number... I like to file it with a formal letter and not just a printed copy of an email. Though I'm not sure if I can get enough funds for it now due to the Miltonio. But who knows, I may just bid on it. Or if you win, maybe I can email you in a month or so...

;)

Hi guys. I don't have any letters from Laurie. The cue belonged to the houseman in my main room in PA. He was the original owner.

The birds-eye is the densest I have ever personally seen on a cue.

The shafts both roll true when rolled by themselves. The butt rolls true by itself. And the entire cue rolls true when assembled with either shaft.

Thanks for the questions.

monski,

I just answered your question on ebay, however, I'm not sure if I fully answered it. Let me know if you need more information.

Thanks.

What kind of wood was used in the cues. The butt of the Nitti appears to be Coco. Are the points ebony? glare. You might want to mention the types of woods that were used in the veneers in the description, im sure someone will ask on ebay. Very nice cues by the way.

Hi ATM. Thanks for the compliment on the cues. If you can believe it, I'm colorblind! I did not have the information on the woods when I wrote the descriptions and couldn't get it on my own :)

Nitti: The points and the butt sleeve are cocobolo. The veneers around the points from the outside inward are: black, maple, black, and maple again.

Southwest: The point veneers from the outside inward are: blue-grey, black (or VERY dark blue), and yellow. I don't know what species the point wood is, but it is brownish in color.

The point wood looks like either Gancalo Alves or Pau Ferro. Have to see it in person. Pau Ferro is a little darker than Gancalo Alves.

I just lowered the starting price on the Nitti to $1200 and the buy it now to $1400.

Thanks for all the interest in both cues.

Nick

I've been watching the cue (southwest) for a couple of days, and know someone who is VERY interested. He unfortunately doesn't have an Ebay account, and neither do it.
He was wondering if it would be possible to obtain the cue via private methods.

and...he's got $$$$$

thanks, and let me know.

The Southwest has been sold to our own Ironchef, who was the high bidder. I thank everyone for their interest in the cue.

The Nitti is still available and its auction ends tomorrow.

Thanks Nick for doing this deal! I dunno what I'm gonna do with all these cues, but I know I like buy them! LOL
