warning on the thing you did on ebay- they will pull it as it violates their rules... any AZ'er interested in looking- you know how to find it on fleabay...

As far as taking offers.... sometimes someone really doesn't know what they want or what it's gonna take to 'make them' sell their cue... i know i have 2 cues if i EVER decide to sell i will 'take offers' unless i'm desperate to sell.. I definitely don't want to see everyone on AZ 'take offers' but there's sometimes that is the way you want to sell your cue... AZ is definitely not an Auction site!! That's what brought me here... if you want auctions-go to Fleabay <been there long time too...>

the best ads to sell here i've seen is FAST N LOOSE <his avitar in nice too :-)> <please- no offense to anyone> as i think he represents his cues well with great pics and descripts and most all his stuff is fair priced -but not too cheap- to move.. he's a great example on how to move a cue if you're looking for one <just my opinion and no offense to great sellers i see like bushwacker, scruggsinhand, poolchady etc, etc.....>

good luck with your sale josh and hope to see pics soon...
Murf

Thanks man. I did not realize I was in violation and I sent eBay an e-mail about it and deleted the post on there. So everything is ok now.

Thanks,

Super Rare Franklin SW Cue

1980'S Super rare tulip wood jerry franklin southwest cue. Two original shafts with original ivory or micarta ferrules. Still the original finish in excellent condition. Talked with the good people from southwest and they said not many tulip wood southwest cues have been made. They said add 20% to the value just for being tulip wood. This is very true. Last chance at this cue. Going once, Going twice,

Ok I'm tired of messing with it. This was a super rare early 80's franklin that some of you collectors will be kicking yourself for not buying. I guess I'm going to accept the offer I was given. Maybe you guys will find another early 80's tulip wood Franklin SW in near mint original condition and two original 13mm shafts with original ferrules out there. See ya around fellas.

Here we go again. Buyer has said he was going to the tennis championships 3 days ago and still no reply back. I saw on his site he has a cue just like this one but it's cocobolo wood and a 1993 or 1996 for $2650. Go figure. Everything is original on mine except for the tips and is in pretty much mint condition. Talked to southwest and they said not many tulip wood southwest cues are out there and especially not from the 80's. I was told by them to add 20% to it's value just for being tulip wood. This is a great deal for a collector at $2300 or best offer. I'll give it another week before I stick it in the closet and double that price in say 3 years.

Thanks,

Josh, where in Florida are you? I am interested in the cue but I would be alot more inclined to actually buy it from you if I could see it in person. I am in Miami.

Driving me crazy. All the pictures I have even when resized come out to be just over 100kb. Managed to get this one just under 100kb. Its blurry to go figure.

More Pictures

Once again. Very gorgeous early 1980's Jerry Franklin SW in original condition. Made of six high/low tulip wood points and a birds-eye maple forearm. Tulip wood butt sleeve with a piece of birds-eye maple. Tulip wood rings at the joint and butt plate. Has a couple (Hard To Notice) surface dings on the forearm but nothing that goes through the finish. Other then that it's pretty much mint. Two shafts that both look to be 13mm or right at it. Everything is original except for the tips which are Moori tips. Ferrules could be Ivory as I do see grain in them. I saw this same design SW on a site recently except it was cocobolo wood and either a 1993 or 1996 and the price was $2650. Spoke with southwest and they said not many tulip wood SW cues have been made an especially not early 80's. They said to add 20% to it's value because of the tulip wood. All around excellent condition and playing cue. In my opinion this is a must for a collector. We all know SouthWest cues will only continue to increase in value over time. Asking price is $2300 or best offer. There's just absolutely no way you can go wrong with this cue or the price. My ebay name is Optimoz and you can check my feedback to see I do good business. 108 transactions and all positive. I just want you to know your safe dealing with me. Well, I think I have said more then enough. The cue speaks for itself. Thanks for taking the time to view my post and have a great day.

Thanks,

Josh Hillard

Add 20% for tulipwood, how much do you deduct for no veneers?

The price of $2300 or best offer that I put up had nothing to do with the adding of 20%. Even if they wouldn't have said that I'd still say the same price. Besides I'm just saying what they said about the cue. If you want to be a donkey about it I'd rather you not reply to the post.

Thanks,

Bump Up

SouthWest cue should always be at the top of the list. Bump up back to the 1st page. :D

Josh,
Beautiful piece. Thanks for the photos. I own a few Franklins and have owned aplenty (regret selling a number of them)... One of my current (pre date) Franklins has Tulipwood... and it hit's fantastic. That is a nice piece, and by the way few of the pre-dates that I have seen carry veneers, but they are some of the best hitting, and best constructed cues ever made.
I think your price is very reasonable, after all, how many of these sweeties will be made in the future? Too bad I am currently out of cue budget.
Very best to you and your sale. Kind regards, Brett

I had a honest question, if tulipwood is a 20% mark up what would no veneers do to that mark up?

Why not just call me a "ass" do you think by calling someone a "Donkey" that your not insinuating "ass" ?????? You were insinutating ass where you not?????

I was only asking because I was a potential buyer, which after your insult I am no longer......

The way I took your question was with sarcasm. If you go back to the first few pages I received some crap about not putting up a price. I do apologize if I may have taken it the wrong way and if your no longer interested because I said "donkey" honestly I don't care. I thought I was being polite using the word. If someone calling you a donkey offends you I'm positive you've been mad at a lot of people in life. Again, I meant no disrespect. I thought you were being sarcastic and I was just simply saying I don't need that and would rather not have it posted. Simple misunderstanding.

Thanks,

offended by the term yes, but never "mad", people sometimes offend me, but never make me mad, for that matter no one ever "makes" you anything, you do that on your own..........

Although I don't think it's a big deal and certainly don't feel you should be offended I have apologized to you sir. May all be well. Have a good weekend.

Thanks,
