SP wood choice

Hey everybody Right now I have a Runde sneaky that is a 3/8-10 and is made out of padauk. Cue hits great but I have this nagging feeling in the back of my head that it is falling a little short because of the padauk... I dont know how to explain it. I am panning on selling off a schon here pretty quick, I prefer the 3/8-10 joint now, to most likely pick up a frey SP. The looks of the wood arent a big thing, just the hit. I am a HUGE fan of ebony forearm schons. So I was concidering an ebony butt frey... will that generally be more butt heavy? What do you guys think about sneaky cue makers and wood choices? I am trying to gain all the knowledge I can get before I buy one since it probably wont be in person. I have also been looking at Judds too, or anything plain and 3/8. So, if anyone wants to ditch off a southwest for 400 bucks send me a PM:D
