One of the most sought after Frank Paradise cues is the Space Age. It has been rumored the only one that was made is the one shown in his catalog flyer. But no one knows for sure, as no documented originals have ever surfaced. Quite possibly with acrylics especially of his time, the lack of good uv stabalizers in the polymer, and the inherent brittleness of acrylic, there might not be a survivor.
Paul Rubino set out to make a space age type tribute cue. What Paul found out was that it wasn't that easy. The first attempt cracked. As you can see in this cue, what stands out is the handle to forearm pin, and the joint pin. It wasn't an easy cue to make, and Paul used as much period material as he could.

You Need To Have Some Old Black Smooth Leather Put On There, And Then You Need To Let Me Know How Much. I Think The Cue Is Awesome.

Very interesting design for the period when the cue was made.

Thanks for posting the pictures.

Just played some pool with Paul Rubino and saw this cue up close. The cue is actually bakelight with a blue hue. I have never seen anything like this material. This is a real interesting cue. With a solid black wrap however it looks out of place. I think he is going to use the silver/black/silver nylon style wrap of the old days.
