BOTH PIECES ARE SOLD
Both of these pieces of spalted maple have been dyed twice (purple/orange) and stabilized.
There is plenty of wood for a forearm and butt cap. As usual, if you are not
satisfied with your purchase return it for an immediate 100% refund (less shipping).
A word about stabilizing and dyeing wood to be used in pool cues. The process
I use is NOT the same as is used to dye and stabilize knife and gun handles.
That process does not take into consideration the weight and the loss of tonal properties of adding a large mass of acrylic resin to the wood. What you don't want is a large piece of acrylic in your cue. I do not use colored acrylic resin
for a dye as it adds to much weight and deadens the hit of the wood. I use
Transtint that is dissolved in a mixture of alcohol and lacquer thinner and vacuum impregenated throughout the wood with out adding weight. Time consuming and expensive but worth the trouble.
