Where I play the TD ask the auctioned player to start the bidding,
(usually 10$).But when someone bids higher He seems to ignore the original
bidder/player, if others are shouting bids.Shouldn't the TD offer the player
the next bid when he is outbid? I think the outcome could be different
when someone knows they are bidding against the player that is being
auctioned.
would like to here other opinions.
I mean why even ask a player to start in the first place.

some places the player has to pay the minimum bid

Calcutta rules can vary with every place but at some places the player is forced to buy themselves for the minimum bid if nobody else wants them. Therefore the first bid is automatically the players for the minimum or it is at least offered to them. If it is offered to them first and nobody else wants it, the player buys themself like it or not.

It is the non-optional cash option!
