I know there are many pool schools and instructors. Have used Scott Lee, very nice fellow and good instructor. However, are there any specialized instructors. I would like to find a teacher to help me with one pocket. Anybody know of such a teacher?

Find Eddie Robin.:D

I have been told (and this is just strictly hearsay) that Grady Matthews does lessons. I imagine he might be able to show you a few one-hole moves.

THE ONLY GAME I DO NOT PLAY OR TEACH IS ONE POCKET. Anything else come see me. You want to learn this game find a real gambler. I took a lesson from Grady 10 years ago and it was first class. I have every thing the man has written or produced on tape. When Grady talks, listen, he is one of the most intelligent people in pool and he's never made a statement about anything in the game I did not agree with. He is truly one of the top teachers in the world. You would be wise to seek him out. He is also a world class gambler and one pocket player. :D

Go Grady!

Not to ring the same bell, but it is true. Grady will give 1-hole lessons.

I contacted him earlier this year for lessons, and while I never did commit to them, he put forth much effort to make a time and place to fulfill my wish.

The man knows lots! I think that it would be difficult to find a better teacher!

If one-pocket is your game, Grady Mathews is the one-pocket king. He'll be at the Derby City Classic on January 16th running that ring game.

There is knowledge to be gained out there in one-pocket, but what you will get from Grady is his wisdom, something hard get from reading a book or watching a videotape.

Grady travels around the country promoting tournaments, holding tournaments, giving exhibitions, lessons, and clinics, and he's actually a very personable guy. His website is http://www.gradymathews.com if you would like to read more about Grady. If one-pocket is your game, Grady is the name!

You couldn't be more right MS. Grady is "The Man". He and Pelican got hooked up on Southernbilliards.com. I'm sure Pelican will be pleased with Grady's instructions and also his reasonable prices.
