I recently had a cue refinished. It has an automotive finish and came out beautifully with one slight issue.
There is a dark speck of dirt/sanding under the finish against a very light piece of wood.
It is tiny and I have a hard time finding it but when I do, it's there. I can easily see how it may have been overlooked.
I don't want to be crazy about it and have the cue refinished (which was generously offered by the maker). Can a finish like this be spot fixed or would the whole cue (wrapless) need to be redone.
My question is, how lucky have any of you been with trying to compound something like that out. I guess it would depend how deep it is. It can not be felt along the finish.
Just looking for suggestions. My instinct is to leave it alone. It will be my only cue and I am not a buyer/seller so resale is not a worry.
I just don't want to fix it till it's broke.
Thanks in advance.
