For some
Speed control seems natural, like shooting a basketball, or knowing when to hit the next gear in a drag race, for others, they logically learn it over time, and some never master it. I have always had pretty good speed control, and I can usually adjust to any table within 10 minutes. I think how you stroke the cue ball comes into play. I think about english sometimes when down on a shot, but hardly ever on speed, it just is just second nature for me.

Thanks.
