How many have played on these?

Any complaints?

looks like another company that puts their name on the same olhausen Brunswick home models

The promo vid on YouTube they perform a scoop jump shot!

I'm just asking I will probably pick one up in a week at a pretty cheap price

I'm guessing you probably have already seen this...

One thing I noticed in their write up was they called SPF a solid wood 'sort of'. SPF is a solid mixed species lumber. It's a soft wood and is one of the most common lumbers used in home framing. It's usually referred to as spruce but that is a misnomer. It's used widely as it is generally straighter than pine but not as strong so the spans will be less.

Just in case you missed this, I guess you don't wanna buy a "Craftsman" table. Like their hoses, I wonder if you can drag it back to your local Sears for a replacement.

Harvard
Sears brand of pool tables. The best models are great for an outdoor fire pit, use the slate to build the sides and the particle board for the fire, cloth burns nice too! The rubber may smell a bit but there is not much of it, it’ll pass quickly, the hardware gives a nice orange glow when heated too…pretty cool after a few cold ones…..the lower end stuff wont even give you a good fire pit.
In your home, I am sure you can find a cheaper laundry table.
Don’t buy these new, don’t buy these used. They are garbage. You may as well flush your money strait down the toilet, and if you have $500 to waste you can spend $800 on quality ueds.

Yes they described a couple of them that way
Don't buy new
Don't buy used
Haha

Starting to think perhaps I should just forget about it and use the money to put new cloth on my billiard table

In most places, the free online classifieds will get you a ton of decent tables available for not a lot of money. Brunswick or Olhausen or the like furniture tables. And if you watch carefully enough, a used Gold Crown might be available.

If I were looking now on a fairly limited budget, I would call up the local reputable table mechanics as a starting point. They may well have some tables, or lines on tables, and they can factor in GOOD set up and new cloth s part of the price.

how about this one?

One of my dad's favorite sayings was "It's like painting your house with cheap paint,"

His point was that the labor, time and inconvenience was the same whether you choose quality paint that will last, or inferior paint which will be in need of the same replacement headaches as when first applied; and very soon thereafter, and then at nearly twice the cost of a good first application.

Perhaps you can look at this as a longer term project. Mr. Gideon has the idea. Perhaps hold out for a deal on an old Gold Crown. Have it professionally set up and maybe even make do with some raggedy old cloth for a while 'til you can do it up right.

All my life I lived with tables that I was constantly apologizing for. They'd spit balls back, and roll very badly. Once you've got a solid foundation with a used commercial table, the rest in chump change. It will be a table that you will truly be proud of, enjoy playing on, and it'll outlast you to be passed on to your son, etc.

You can also visit some local pool establishments, and ask if they have a table for sale, and if not, network with them to locate a house that has a table, or as Gideon suggests, an installer who may. Many folks move and can't take the table with them, move in and don't wan't the table, etc.

All my life I dreamt of a Brunswick Anniversary, and when I moved to Denver, I found the exact table right downtown. Make your dreams come true. Don't intentionally go out and spend your hard earned money on just more frustration.

Another hackneyed phrase is "If the job is worth doing, it's worth doing well." Sorry for all the cliches, but at 68, I've finally learned to listen to others that have suffered in the same situation. I'm not at all an expert, but I feel I've been where you currently are.

i wanted a cheap one, just to have one, but also to get some experience in working on tables myslef,

im not a high level player, never will be, im a recreational player, play well enough to enjoy myself

ive had a gc 2, i dont make a big deal of it anymore, which table this or that, doesnt much matter to me just want to be able to play some straight pool at home , this way my kids come up playing billiards and pool

my gabriels is refreshingly basic construction, rails, slate, 3 steel beams, and a simple frame

like i said ill probably wait on it, id rather get this new cloth on my gabriels and into my house and out of the garage, freakin humidity is killing me, plus the tables not playing like it should due to air conditions

Holy cow! I live smack dab in the center of Broomfield, Colorado!! Only info I can find is that some were made in the 40's. The above table may be a really cool table! Got any photos??

I saw that one, kind of dig it to just outside of my current price range

Yes it has 6 legs, always wanted a 6leg table
Bit it's got TEXAS CORNER CASTINGS also
