I asked a different variation of this question in the main forum ( https://forums.azbilliards.com/threads/one-import-table-vs-another.543971/ ) and someone suggested I repost here. It was a great call, but rather than repeat the same question, I'll rephrase it to focus more on the Mechanics perspective, rather than a player's perspective (construction rather than playability). So here goes:
Have you ever worked on a Spencer Marston (like the York) or maybe an Ozone branded table (like the Marietta)? From my research, they're supposed to have good construction, but I'm trying to understand what level it's at. It's obviously not a Gold Crown or commercial table of any sorts. But, is it at the same level as say a Brunswick Glenwood or Oakland II? i.e., not the lower level Brunswick's (like the Allenton), but rather their higher level residential tables (where they bump up to superspeed and less mdf, etc). Referring to Construction-wise (which ultimately translates to playability and longevity). Or would they in fact be more like an Allenton?
Thanks!
