Ok guys
I try to explain the little mike system (split the difference) easier.
You have 4 type cut shot.
( Straight, thick "almost straight", thin "horizon", very thin "edge to edge" )
Straight:
Centre of the cue ball to center of the object ball. ( Clock 12 to 6 o'clock ).
thick cuts: aim straight Centre of the cue ball to center of the object ball (CTC) after that pivot to ¼ or ¾ of the cue ball ( Clock 12 to 6 pivot to 5 o'clock ).
Thin cuts:
Centre of the cue ball to ¼ or ¾ object ball pivot to horizon zone ( horizon is between 5 o'clock to 3 o'clock ) mike says horizon is the area that the object ball leaves the felt to edge of the object ball. ( Clock 12 to 5 pivot to between 4 and 3 o'clock ).
In other word horizon is splitting the difference between ¼ or ¾ to edge of the object ball.
Very thin cuts: line up edge of the cue ball to edge of the object ball and don't care to cue and keep your perception and put the cue on the centre of the cue ball. ( Clock 3 to 3 o'clock ).
You can do it another form:
Edge of the Cue ball to edge of the object ball put your cue on the centre of the object ball and pivot to ¼ ball to edge of Object ball.
This step is a little confusable I know it.
NOTE: pivot in this system is HIP, if you use of the back hand English you will make English on the cue ball.
NOTE: in the very thin cuts or edge to edge this line ( ETE ) should be straight on your chest.
NOTE: when you want to line up to center or ¼,¾ etc. You should put your dominant foot, hand and eye on that line.
NOTE: horizon is splitting the difference between ¼ or ¾ to edge.
NOTE: for aiming after Pivoting to split the difference between ¼ or ¾ you should look at the side of your cue and go to splitting the difference between ¼ or ¾ to Edge.
NOTE: practice practice practice and try to find your errors.
You can do all top parts easier
1: almost straight_ aim centre to centre pivot to ¼ or ¾
2: boomerang_ aim centre to centre look at the horizon and lay down on the table and shot center of the CB to Horizon of the object ball.
3: Edge to Edge_ Cue ball horizon edge to object ball horizon edge and lay down on the table and shoot
NOTE: don't care what's your perception when you lay down on the table in Edge to Edge and horizon shot.
NOTE: pivot should be back hand or hip.
NOTE: you are pivoting for all shots: almost straight and horizontal and edge to edge but you do it mechanical in almost straight but your body and your eyes ( perception ) pivot in horizon and edge to edge.
