The Black Diamond Billiards in Spokane, Wa. (formerly McQ's) is hosting an Open 9-Ball tournament on Labor Day Weekend
Saturday Sept. 3rd – Monday Sept 5th
Played on 9 9ft. Brunswick Gold Crowns
Race to 9 both sides Winner Breaks
Texas Express Rules
$75 Entry ($60 entry +$15 Green fees)
Open to first 128 paid players
Minimum $3,000 Added With Full Field
($1500 w/ 64)
All Entries must be paid by Thursday Sept. 1st
Board will be available Friday Night 7:30 PM
Open Saturday 9 AM Matches to Start 9:30 AM

I originally thought this was a joke of a question until I actually tried to find "texas express rules" to actually see an official rulebook.

I could not find a Texas Express rulebook or a version in a rulebook on the net. Maybe I am missing something, so could you also point me in the right direction to find the rules that are going to be played during this tournament.

I do know what is meant by texas express rules, but I dont think there is actually rules out there anymore called that.

Basically they are BCA rules with 3 foul in affect and Push/roll outs which are also used in BCA.. There is only a few rules on this link that I enforce a little differant at my tournaments. Such as if 2 balls are touched it is a foul but no option to replace. If a foul is committed there is no restoration option. Hope this helps and hope to see you at tournament.

6.10 is a tough one for a player to call. Any miscue is a foul,,,so do you go by the sound of it then?

6.28 multiple safes, never heard of that before but i am sure it rarely comes into play.

Hopefully everything works out and I can bring a car load down for a fun weekend.
 
Rule 6.10

Only time I enforce a mis-cue as a foul is on an attempted jump or masse shot. I go by the bca rule on that one.
Rule 6.28 is kinda one never really paid attention to. Have never came up and if both players are doing that usaully declared a stale mate and replay game with same player breaking.
I will have a list of rules available sat. morning along with all details about the matches. It will be the extent of the players meeting that way we can get started at 9:30 am sharp. Will most likely have this available friday night at the drawing

Me and 4 other guys will be going to this. Coming from great Falls, MT.!! Will be sending Scott Gracio the entry fees for all us so he can give to you. Any vendor booths available??
 
Maries husband will be in bellevue tonight at the parlor watching the NWPA tour if you do not have plans or are not to far away would love to meet ya. The wife is shooting in the event.
 
Top Women

After some questions and consideration I wanted to let everyone know that will be paying top Women if I get atleast 5 women and will pay 2 if we get 12 or more women. Top women will be paid to top females out of reg tournament money and any ties will be decided by number of games won. If still a tie will have best of 3 playoff
 
Scott Gracio will be at the tournament repairing cues in between his matches so if you need any tips or repair work this would be a good time.
Still working on group rates for hotels and sponsors will keep posted when have more info and will post a player list when ge tcloser to event.
