I was planning on going over this weekend but work prevented it. If anyone can send in some updates it would be much appreciated.

Is there someone you want to watch or just the general stuff?

Basically, who is there, any good matches, side action etc. I am particularly interested in Seattle players. Thanks for the response.

Not all from Seattle area but are well known.

I was going to go but I ended up having to work this weekend. A group of my friends from Boise are going and they are all great shots.

Hey Whitey if you get a chance to see a guy by the name of Josh Smith, I'd like an update for him. He is a good friend of mine and I'd like to see him go all the way. I'll probably try to go next year. I need more practice on 9-footers anyways.

Hey DeadPoked
I did get a chance to see Josh play.
He got a bye the first round and drew a local guy in the 2nd.
I know the guy that he had to play pretty well, he a good shot.
Josh won 9-6
Now he has to wait until Sunday morning for his next.

Also another guy from Boise Nick R. played well
He beat a guy who should have been better than the guy Josh played.
Nick also won 9-6

I am not going back until the finals on Monday so I can'y update for Sundays Matches.

Later,
Whitey

Whitey,

Thanks a bunch. No problem with the spelling, I knew who you were talking about. I appreciate your efforts.

whitey and lunchmoney I appreciate the updates. I wish I could be there right now! Irritates me just thinking about it. If you guys get a chance to get an update on a guy named Brian from Boise, that'd be cool. I can't remember his last name unfortunately. He is canadian and has black hair if that helps. Did Santos not show up?

Brian F from Canada did very well 9-12??
Josh S did even better 5-6 (Heard a bunch of people talking about "that kid, Josh from Boise"

Some other results (as I remember them):

Bob Gray 9-12
Brain F 9-12
Soud A 9-12

Ben Ramsey 7-8
Stan T 7-8

Rich G 5-6
Josh S 5-6

Randy C 4th

John H 3rd

Edwin M 2nd

Brady Gollan 1st

Best matchs today (IMO)
Brady Gollan over Josh Smith
Edwin Montal vs John Horsfall
Edwin Montal vs Brady Gollan (1st final)

Whitey

I was hoping he would get first but 5-6 isn't bad at all. Can you describe his match with Brady? At least he got beat by the guy that won it. You see any of the guys from Boise match up for some action?

Thanks much Whitey, I have had to play Brady before and it's no fun. I'm surprised John Horsfall didn't go to the US Open though. Thanks again,

Being knocked out by Brady Gollan and John Horsfall, not too bad!

Brady vs. Josh
Two of the final four on the winners side. race to nine

Openning Break
Saftey
Kick saftey
Saftey
Saftey
Kick saftey
Brady makes the one
saftey
Kick
Saftey
(Oh my god this is gonna be a long one)
Finally brady gets an openning and is out
They swap a few table runs so the score is somewhere around 3-2
The rest of the way it seems they are going back and forth but brady
is geting most of the nines.
Josh shot great up until the last 2 or 3 racks where he didn't get any good shots
and missed a few tough ones without controling the cueball

I can't remember the final score but I think he got 4 or 5 games

His next match was John Horsfall. Again I don't know the score but John Horsfall shot very well. Josh may have only gotten 2 or 3 games there.???

Sorry but I don't know of any side match ups.
