a lot of people may know this already but i was wondering if the pros actually play with the production cues they are sponsored by. for example i saw a commercial with allison fisher for cuetec and i was wondering if she actually uses a production cuetec? or is it a cuetec with a different shaft? the same question for other pros that advertise for cue companies.

I got a chance to see Allison's cue several years ago and was a little dissapointed to see it had a wooden shaft. Then the vortex came out so I guess that was one case of a pro checking out the new stuff for their sponser.

Johnny uses a scorpion from 2003. His break cue is also a scorpion. I don't think Shane has any sponsors right now, other than himself. As far as I know, Shane plays with a joss shaft.

I have to correct your misinformation. Allison has always played with an unmodified SST shaft (w/fiberglass coat.) In fact, she still plays with the original cue and shaft she was provided by Cuetec over 10 years ago.
