Sponsorship Problems

Excellent post Scaramouche

I read the post & all the comments.

Here in the UK the BBC don't do adverts & to have the service costs £145.50 per year or risk a £1000 fine & possibly get the jail so us mug householders pay the fee.Betfair sponsering the event is better than no event at all.Nothing up with Bookies sponsoring events if it keeps them both in the spotlight.

When the BBC cover Snooker events I watch as much as time allows & there is no adverts to spoil the entertainment so I'm glued to the TV to hear what the commentary team think of the game on view even when the players go out for a break & they put up match stats.

SkyTV.
To create the cash revenue I could see Barry Hearn move the World Championships over to them & then eventually host it in China with an advert after every frame about the tournament sponsers latest offers etc.

Bookies.
You have got to thank them for sponsoring as there might be no others offering to do the gig.At the end of the day the Bookies take the punters cash & pay-out thwe winners & reinvest the losers cash on another event, nothing up with that to me as it's a bit like recycling.LOL.

PS.
Im a punter & definately not a bookie.LOL;)
