Spots remaining for USBA Nationals

Spots are going fast for the USBA 3-Cushion Nationals being held at the Allen Hopkins Super Billiard Expo in Edison, New Jersey from wednesday, April 3rd through Sunday, April 7th.

Tournament Registration: Wednesday, April 3, 2013, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon

Practice: Wednesday, April 3, 2013, 12:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Each player will be given individual practice time. This will range from 30 to 45 minutes depending on the size of the field. The individual practice times will be assigned at registration by a random draw. Failure to register during the registration period may result in loss of an individual practice time.

Players' Meeting: Wednesday, April 3, 2013, 7:00 p.m.

Preliminary Rounds: A preliminary round may be played on Wednesday, April 3 beginning immediately after the players’ meeting. Preliminary rounds will continue on Thursday, April 4, and Friday, April 5, beginning at 9:30 a.m. each day.

Semi-Finals: Saturday, April 6, 9:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Finals: Sunday, April 7, 9:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Before going to the nationals,

couple of questions,

. is the time clock gonna be use at the nationals?
. are the balls gonna be cleaned by aramith cleaner ( the sponser ) or with water.

I hope you or the committee could answer this simple question.

"At current, my answers are:

Time clock: If your clock/scorer is not ready and tested before the nationals, then no clock will be used.

Ball Cleaning: We will follow UMB protocol unless playing conditions dictate a deviation. If so, Aramith will be used.

I will confirm with the committee."

SPOTS - you say - I thought to play in the Nationals you must have to qualify in a qualifier or be seeded from playing in previous Nationals - I read this as anyone can enter ??
 
Priority Order:

1) Top 4 from last year
2) Player that Qualify
3) Players that participated in a Qualifier
4) Those that played in a USBA Tournament in 2012.
5) Anyone else.

All these are spots permitting.
