I have a schon cue that i am thinking about adding a stacked leather wrap to.

i have a couple of questions.

1. i like the way a wrapless cue feels, is there any way to get this feel with a stacked leather wrap?

2. If you are a cuemaker & think you can match the colors of the veneers in my cue let me know.....i would like a black/brown stacked leather to match the cue...i'm posting a pic from schon's web site, but my cue has slightly darker veneers.

I had a cue done with stacked leather by Ryan at Muellers and it feels as close to nowrap as you can get.... as far as I know. Everybody told me that stacked leather would come the closest to the feel of a wood handle and I think they were right. I'm happy with the cue. I'll bet he has leather to match your cue.

Stack Leather is a great choice if you are looking to get as close as possible to the feel of a wrapless cue. There are a few of us that do this style wrap and would be able to meet your needs.

If you want the look of a stack wrap and the feel of no wrap ask the cue maker to put a few light coats of finish on the wrap thus sealing it just like it was wood. If they only polish it with sealer it will rapidly wear away and start feeling like a stack wrap is supposed to feel. Stack wrap has a great feel too it unlike any other wrap and you might actually like it fine without clear coating over it. Ask to feel someones who is using one.

Check my signsture to see some of Ryan from Mueller's work.

Main player, and back-up player both have stack leather by him.

Tiger Products can create custom colors, and you can even specify the percentage of each color that the leather is stained. Take a look at their website for examples.
