I have a stain on my brand new blue 860 cloth. It was more of a mark. I used a wet white towel to try to clean it. The stain (mark) only got worse. The stain or whatever it is isnt that bad. I was just wondering what is the best way to clean the 860 cloth I have. Its the kind of mess your friends might not notice, but every time I enter the room my eyes go straight to it! THANKS

Hi Steve. Felt is not a very durable fabric. Water alone can cause lightened or white spots. You need to find a good dry cleaning agent for the table.

FYI. I have spent a lot of time working out a formulation for a felt guard and believe me felt reacts differently from other materials. So after you clean and if you want to guard the felt from further damage, stay away from felt guards that are flammable or contain water period. Also, the felt guard should not contain silicone. Silicone attracts oils and greases which in turn attract dirt and grime which will cause the felt to wear down quickly as balls roll around on it. Read the label and if the label does not address these items, I would say stay away. A good felt guard will at least keep the table's felt looking good without the worry of spill. Finally, test it first to make sure the ball do not slide around abnormally, sort of as they would on new cloth.

Although I have never tried it I was wondering if that clorox bleach pen may work. Perhaps you have seen the commercial with the drill seargent beratting the private and they pass this pen around to remove the stain on his shirt. I don't actually know if it would work or if it would damage the cloth in anyway, but I think it would be worth a try.

Steve,
You need a product like our Quick-Clean. It is designed to lift the dirt off the cloth giving you a chance to wipe it off the table and not push it into the cloth like other cleaners. Quick-Clean will remove most stains if used properly. If you would like to give me a call I might be able to help (1 866 240-2789). The more that you put a water product on the mark the worse that it will get.
